Historic homes reflect a rich heritage that was once a thriving manufacturing town. The county's emphasis on manufacturing still carries forward today, along with a strong service industry. One of the featured service industries in Danville is Geisinger Medical Center which is within two miles of the Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community. The area is well known for it's outdoor recreational opportunities and abundant scenic beauty. We are within a four hour drive of New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington D.C.

Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community is located on US Route 11 between Danville and Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. It can be reached from Harrisburg by taking Route 11 North.

From western Pennsylvania, take Interstate 80 East to Exit 224 (old exit 33) at Danville. Then Route 54 East to Route 11 North to Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community.

From eastern Pennsylvania, take Interstate 80 West to Exit 232 (old exit 34) at Buckhorn. Then Route 42 South to Route 11 South to Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community.
